What is NEWQU?
NEWQU is the brand behind a modular backpack system. The backpack is the base and can be flexibly expanded or adapted using modules, bags, and volume kits.
What is special about the NQ1?
The NQ1 is a modular backpack with a flexibly adjustable volume of approximately 24 to 58 liters. With volume kits, the magnetic PackPlate, and modules such as a wardrobe, front pocket, internal pockets, and a removable hip belt, it adapts to everyday life and travel.
Who is the NEWQU system suitable for?
For anyone who wants to use a backpack for different situations – everyday life, work, sports, or travel. The system adapts to the use, not the other way around.
Do I need to buy multiple backpacks?
No. You buy the backpack once and can expand or modify it at any time if needed.
Is the backpack suitable for everyday use?
Yes. In its compact state, it's ideal for everyday use, the office, or commuting. You only use the extensions when you need them.
How long will the backpack last?
The system is designed for long-term use. High-quality materials and modular interchangeability significantly extend its lifespan.
Can I purchase additional modules later?
Yes. The system is designed for long-term expansion. New modules can be added at any time.
Are all modules compatible with each other?
Yes. All current NEWQU modules are compatible with each other and can be flexibly combined.
Is the system future-proof?
Yes. The modular concept is designed so that future modules remain compatible with existing products in the NQ1 series.
Can I buy components individually?
Yes. Volume kits, PackPlate, Wardrobe, front pocket, carrying strap and other accessories are available separately in the webshop.
Are there any bundles?
Yes. There are pre-configured bundles with coordinated modules – ideal for getting started or for specific applications.
Volume, modules and fastening
How does volume adjustment work?
The backpack consists of a back panel, a volume kit (middle section), and a front panel. The parts can be combined using fully circumferential, detachable zippers – from a flat daypack to a large travel version.
What configurations are possible?
You can choose between flat (without center piece), medium (narrow center piece) and large (wide center piece + optional extension).
What modules and bags are available?
There are modular inner pockets (S, M, L), wardrobe, pack plate, front pocket, volume kits in different sizes, and accessories such as a carrying strap and removable hip belt.
How are the modules attached?
Modules are fixed via defined connection points and fit snugly. The inner bags are attached to the magnetic PackPlate with a click.
Can the modules be assembled without tools?
Yes. All modules can be inserted, removed, or replaced without tools.
Can I use multiple modules simultaneously?
Yes. Multiple indoor and outdoor modules can be used in parallel.
Can the inner pockets also be used separately?
Yes. The inner pockets can also be used independently as organizers – or with a strap as shoulder bags.
How stable is the modular system?
All modules are designed to be securely fixed and remain stable even when fully loaded. The balance and shape are not negatively affected.
Does the backpack remain stable when empty?
Yes. Even without the modules inserted, the backpack retains its shape and does not collapse.
Can modules be loaded from one side only?
Yes. The design prevents uneven loading from distorting or unstable the backpack.
How durable are the zippers?
The zippers are designed for frequent opening, closing and volume changes and remain easy to use even under tension.
Do extensions restrict freedom of movement?
No. The volume expansion is controlled in depth, so that shoulder freedom and wearing comfort are maintained.
How do the magnetic closures work?
The magnetic fasteners on the straps and chest strap can be opened and closed intuitively, hold reliably and allow quick access.
Travel and deployment
Is the NQ1 suitable as hand luggage?
Yes. In its flat or medium configuration, the NQ1 generally complies with most hand luggage regulations. For air travel, we recommend the medium configuration.
Is the NQ1 suitable for campers or van life?
Yes. The PackPlate can be hung up in the camper using hooks to create order. The Wardrobe can also be removed and hung up.
Material and care
What materials are the products made of?
NEWQU uses robust, durable materials designed for frequent use and regular reconfiguration.
Is the NQ1 waterproof?
The NQ1 is water-repellent and protects against light rain and splashes. Additional protection is recommended for heavy rain. The zippers are waterproof.
How do I care for the backpack?
Light soiling can be removed with a damp cloth. Machine washing is not recommended.
Ordering and Service
When will my order be delivered?
After you complete your order, we will usually ship the NQ1 and all other products within 2-4 working days (as soon as they are available).
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. We offer a two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Where is the NQ1 manufactured?
The NQ1 is manufactured in a specialized factory with experience in the outdoor and bag sector. Production focuses on durability and quality. All materials used meet European standards.
