About Us
In the summer of 2022, we – four adults, seven children, countless bags – were once again sitting amidst half-packed suitcases and the usual travel chaos.
Anyone who travels with family knows the feeling: something is always missing, important things turn up precisely when you least need them – and are missing exactly when you're in a hurry. And as we rummaged through hand luggage, weekender bags, sports backpacks, handbags, toiletry bags, and "just-for-the-playground" bags, it dawned on us: this can't go on.
We wanted a system.
One that combines everything.
One that adapts to our needs – not the other way around.
A backpack that replaces a collection of ten different suitcases, backpacks, and bags of all sizes – minimalist, clean, and well-designed. One that creates space at home because everything else suddenly becomes superfluous.
The decision to do it differently
One backpack – various possibilities:
- for the long journey
- the weekend trip
- the day trip to the city
- the spontaneous visit to the playground
- the dance festival
- the office day
- the trip with friends or family
- and much more
So we did what you probably only do when you're a family business and believe in ideas bigger than yourself: We decided to develop our dream backpack. One that we ourselves would wear anytime.
The first "prototypes" were created at the kitchen table – from cardboard, tape, and a good deal of imagination. An idea in our heads became something tangible. We took these makeshift models to a friend who was a seamstress. We discussed, discarded, and rethought – until the first real prototype was sewn. And suddenly, there was this feeling: This could actually work.
Then the search for a manufacturer began. We didn't want a quick compromise, but a partner who understood our vision and had experience in this segment. After many discussions – and even more learning curves – we found exactly that partner.
And yes, we were excited. Very excited indeed! Because we originally came from completely different fields – the art and creative world, the sports and organizational environment. No classic product development career, no "how to start a bag label" guide.
But that became our strength! Creative thinking, structured planning, organizational talent, an eye for detail – and on top of that, our perfectly normal, sometimes wonderfully chaotic family life. Different perspectives, one common goal.
For three years we refined, optimized, modified, discarded, and added again. We tested, rethought, and re-sewn. Always asking ourselves: Would we use it exactly like this? Would it truly replace several bags? Would it hold up in everyday use – not just on paper?
And over time, we discovered something else fascinating: we couldn't define a clear target group. Because this system doesn't just work for us. It works for families just as well as for business people, campers, students, frequent travelers, minimalists, festival fans, or people who simply want to bring structure to their everyday lives. It adapts – not the other way around.
What began as an idea is now a reality.
Here we are today – still this small world of four with seven children, but with a product born out of genuine need. From our everyday lives. From our chaos. And from the desire for more clarity, more order, and more freedom on the go.
